This program provides the pharmacist with information regarding the characteristics of RLS, therapeutic options and counseling points.

This program is not accredited for Pharmacy Technicians.
- Learning Objectives
After participating in this program, the pharmacist should be able to:
- Describe the 4 key characteristics of RLS
- Explain advantages and disadvantages of common treatments for RLS
- Recognize signs of "augmentation"
- Recommend appropriate options for the management of augmentation.
- Provide appropriate patient counseling for the common agents used to treat RLS.

This program will review all the drug treatments used in RLS, though only pramipexole and ropinirole have FDA approval for this indication.

Continuing Education Accreditation Information
Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy is approved by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Pharmacists successfully participating in this program will receive a statement of credit for 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU). Statements of Credit may be printed on-line after successful completion of the learning assessment (70%).
